Between Brattleboro and Bennington in southern Vermont, Meadowview is located in Wilmington, a charming and historic downtown in the heart of the Deerfield Valley. Wilmington is home to miles of trails accessible from right downtown, nearby access to world-class skiing, and local restaurants with classic small-town charm.
As a truly four season destination, you will find so many activities to do in the area. If you enjoy down hill skiing, Mt Snow is a short fifteen minute drive and Stratton is within a half hour drive. If water sports are your thing you have so many options. Perhaps you’d like to go kayaking on the Deerfield River, or in the Harriman Reservoir. There are knowledgeable outfitters where you can rent a boat, kayak, or jet ski.
Our family enjoys hiking together, and some of our favorite trails can be found in the nearby Molly Stark State Park. Whether you just want something easy to get your day started off right or perhaps more of a half day adventure, you can easily access routes of all levels and abilities.
After you’ve exhausted yourself with outdoor activities, the hunger pangs will kick in and this is where Wilmington and the surrounding area really shines! There are many truly delicious restaurant offerings in the area, and this is part of what attracted us to this town. We will always make recommendations based on your taste or occasion, just to name a few of our favorites include a breakfast sandwich and coffee at Village Roost, blueberry pancakes at Dot’s and hand crafted cocktails and an incredible dinner in a cozy Bavarian ambiance at Alpenglow. Whether you choose to pick up locally harvested ingredients to cook an amazing meal at Meadowview or head out to eat you will have many options.
